Dr. Grillo completed her Bachelor of Arts in developmental psychology from Wheaton College in Massachusetts. She earned her doctorate in clinical child psychology from Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School where she also earned her master’s degree in mental health counseling. Dr. Grillo also holds a master’s degree in public administration with a specialization in health from Baruch College. Dr. Grillo completed her clinical internship training at NYU Langone Medical Center’s Rusk Rehabilitation Center where she gained specialized training in pediatric psychology working with various acute care teams including neuropsychology rehab, hematology/oncology, GI and nephrology. Following her internship year, Dr. Grillo completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine’s NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health campus.Dr. Grillo has published on a variety of topics including patient engagement and advocacy, leadership training and supervision, quality care and burnout, as well as psychoeducation on postpartum care. Her clinical interests include advocacy for families of patients experiencing first-break psychosis and catatonia, ECT and strengthening academic medical center training programs. Dr. Grillo’s training also includes extensive experience in inpatient, outpatient, community mental health centers and health-based non-profit settings.
